PROJECTS
Do you know that Syrian food is one of the most delicious cuisines in the Arab region? Well, Egyptians know it very well. That is why there are more Syrian restaurants than Egyptian restaurants in this city. Because of this, many of our adult Syrian men work in those restaurants here in Alexandria. The Tally family is one of the families we have known the longest. They love us and we love them as well. Because of health issues, the father has not been able to work for more than two years...and that is why our team is praying for them, and introducing them (and you) to a special assistance plan called HOMEMADE FOOD.

Mr. Tally, along with his wife (who is the best chef we have known), decided to accept the challenge. Unfortunately, this dream requires new kitchen equipment (stove, pans, blender, etc...) which they cannot afford in their current situation as refugees. We would like to help them raise funds so their dream can come true. In addition, we will be supporting them as their #1 customers, buying some of their delicious food to enjoy together.
People of God, remember this: in the Arab culture, food and meetings around the table are so very important for developing friendships.
HOMEMADE Syrian Food
As refugees, all our Syrian families are constantly worried about their official documents and authorizations. Is not unusual to hear that one of these young Syrian men was caught by police while they were "working" (not under an official contract) without a visa or valid passport. They then have to spend at least three days in jail.
Each new passport costs 300 USD per person. This means that a family with five members will need ASAP approximately 1,500 USD just for documents.
Please, keep in mind that a basic salary here is no more than 200 USD a month.
Our wish is to help at least one person per family during this year, with donations focused on this aim. Thank you.

Micro PYMES
Have been many women around us who have received benefits in their skins after apply this special creme... Yes, you read it well "CREME". A couple of syrian sisters were working together for the last 10 months in producing a special creme that is loved for all women who have used it. We have supported this special project privately, but knowing the quality of the creme, and the actual need of vulnerable people, we have decided, to support her.
By the middle of this year (2020), this project will lose the assistance of both our psychologist and our sports trainer, who were working as volunteers for more than a year. To maintain our social-therapeutic activities, we will need new self-funded volunteers, or volunteers who are financial sponsored by one of you, dear SDAHCA Family.
We would like recommendations from SDAHCA Friends in each SDA Division around the world, especially here in MENA Union and in some countries of the Americas. If you know someone who would like to come and join us, please let us know. We are looking for English teachers, doctors, nurses, etc.

This will help them to improve their job opportunities with new tools ans the posibility og emigrating to another country without worrying too much about the language barrier
