SDAHCA
ABOUT US
From the Beginning
When the Seventh-day Adventist church in the Middle East & North Africa Union became aware of the difficulties many Syrian refugees encounter, different projects were created to assist them (Syrian refugees) in the countries of Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Egypt. Since November 2017, the project in Alexandria, Egypt has helped almost 25 Syrian refugee families. This project focuses mainly on health issues, but in the last 18 months we have also included education and social support.
The name of our project, Seventh-day Adventist Home Care Assistance (SDAHCA) was inspired by the Arabic word صداقة, which means friendship, because that is what God has allowed us to form with each one of these special families - an eternal friendship.
OUR TEAM
Official Members
Our team is formed permanently by a physician doctor, a professional nurse and a translator.
We have also been assisted by many local and foreign volunteers, who have blessed this project. We always need more volunteers with a variety of skills, especially psychologists and English teachers. If you are interested in volunteering, we invite you to contact us.
